3.5 Payment & Billing Information

All digital transactions are processed through RBI-authorized payment aggregators and gateways. CodeNCareer does NOT store or process your complete credit/debit card numbers, CVVs, or net banking passwords on our servers. We only retain non-sensitive transaction tokens (such as Order ID, amount paid, payment method type, and timestamp) for account activation and tax invoice generation.

4. How We Collect Information

We collect personal and academic data through the following lawful methods:

  • Direct User Input: When you register an account, fill out enrollment forms, take mock assessments, run code in the sandbox, or submit review ratings.
  • Automated Platform Technologies: Through session tokens, application logs, and browser cookies that preserve your login state and theme preferences.
  • Payment Gateway Integration: Through secure webhooks that notify our backend of successful course fee settlements.
  • Direct Inquiries: When you interact with our mentorship desk via email, WhatsApp, or telephone.

5. Purposes for Which We Use Your Information

We process your information exclusively for legitimate, defined educational and operational purposes:

Service Delivery: Setting up student workspaces, unlocking purchased batch content, and providing access to practice drills.
Assessment & Analytics: Evaluating mock test answers, computing percentile rankings, and benchmarking placement readiness.
Support & Communication: Sending critical batch announcements, schedule reminders, system notices, and responding to help requests.
Security & Fraud Prevention: Detecting unauthorized concurrent logins, automated bot traffic, code plagiarism, or academic misconduct.
Legal & Tax Compliance: Maintaining statutory financial records, issuing GST tax invoices, and honoring applicable Indian regulatory requirements.

6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text identifiers stored by your web browser on your device. CodeNCareer utilizes cookies strictly for functionality, security, and user experience:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: Essential for authenticating students, verifying session integrity, and maintaining secure login states across page visits.
  • Preference Cookies: Remembering your UI configuration, including your light or dark mode theme selection.
  • Session & Security Cookies: Protecting against Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) and preventing unauthorized multi-user account sharing.

You can configure your browser to decline cookies. However, disabling essential authentication cookies may impair your ability to access protected student modules and mock assessments.

7. Educational Performance & Assessment Data

A core feature of CodeNCareer is measuring and improving your technical readiness. When you complete coding challenges or timed aptitude assessments:

  • Your individual scores, speed, and accuracy breakdowns are shown in your private Student Learning Workspace to guide your study routine.
  • We may compute aggregated, anonymized percentile benchmarks (e.g. “Top 10% in Quantitative Aptitude”) across batch participants without publicly disclosing your personal identity.
  • Performance records are never shared with or sold to outside marketing agencies.

8. Automated Processing & Evaluation Technologies

CodeNCareer employs automated software routines to evaluate student coding submissions, check test cases, calculate marks, and suggest relevant learning chapters based on identified knowledge gaps.

These automated mechanisms are strictly educational tools designed to provide rapid feedback. They do not constitute automated legal or corporate employment profiling.

9. How We Share & Disclose Information

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal identifiable information to third parties for commercial advertising or marketing campaigns.

Information is only shared under the following limited circumstances:

  • Infrastructure & Hosting Partners: Trusted cloud infrastructure, database hosting, and transactional email/SMS delivery providers under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Payment Aggregators: RBI-authorized payment processors strictly to facilitate secure course fee settlements.
  • Legal & Regulatory Obligations: Where disclosure is mandatory under Indian law, court order, or formal request from competent law enforcement authorities.
  • Protection of Rights & Safety: To enforce our Terms & Conditions, protect the safety of users, and investigate severe platform abuse or fraud.

10. Data Security & Storage Safeguards

CodeNCareer employs technical and organizational safeguards designed to secure your personal records against accidental loss, unauthorized access, alteration, and unlawful disclosure:

  • Data in transit is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS);
  • Passwords are secured using robust cryptographic hashing algorithms;
  • Databases are restricted through role-based access control and firewalls;
  • Regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments are performed.

Please understand that no transmission mechanism over the Internet can be guaranteed as 100% impenetrable. We strongly advise students to maintain unique passwords and avoid sharing account credentials with others.

11. Data Retention Periods

We retain your personal and academic information only for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfill the educational purposes for which it was gathered:

  • Active account data and assessment history are retained throughout your active enrollment and placement cycle.
  • Transaction and billing records are maintained for statutory periods prescribed by applicable Indian tax and financial accounting regulations.
  • Upon verified request for account deletion, data is removed or irrevocably anonymized, subject to statutory retention mandates.
